    Drug Rehab Advice

If you feel yourself or a loved one are in need of professional medical based rehab for either marijuana use or any other drug dependence or co-occurring mental disorder then please feel free to consult our rehab center referral directory. Our directory listings cover every state in North America and include information such as the type of treatment offered, official accreditation and any specialization each individual rehab service provider may offer as many specialize in their own unique fields and in providing their own custom services. Every provider can vary significantly so make sure you research any perspective recovery center thoroughly and that they meet your own unique individual needs.

Choosing the right provider can very often mean the difference between success or failure as an adolescent teen can have such extremely different needs to a mature individual or a person suffering from a co morbid mental health related issue and therefore can be in need of a completely different type of therapy and treatment program.

You wouldn’t want your brain operated on by a heart surgeon or vice versa and the same is as true for drug addiction treatment, just as with any other type of medical treatment one size definitely does not fit all. Always research as thoroughly as you can beforehand what kind of treatment provider is going to meet your needs, make sure you do your background research both online and off and call and question a number of different providers.

Good providers will be happy to talk to you in depth about the exact nature of the treatment plan they offer and answer any questions you may have. While time is always a factor when it comes to saving yourself or a loved one from addiction, never rush into going with a drug rehab provider that you lack faith in or don’t feel comfortable with, we hope you find our referral directory a useful place to start.

I need help with quitting......I cant do it myself

    Hi Danny,

    All what Hyzer said!

I would stress the professional help. Tell your doctor what you want to do. You have to be careful with anti depression meds.

I am 10 and half months quit after

Danny, that took a lot of courage to open up like that. This forum has far more problem posts than success posts because many folks who get over their addiction and withdrawal get on with their lives

I never imagined withdrawal would cause pain like this

I'm 34. Been a heavy weed smoker for over a decade. I've taken long breaks from it before (several weeks or months), so I knew about the insomnia, crazy dreams, loss

Oh, that smell, can't you smell that smell.....Lynard skynard...

well, i'm surprised the smell of just smoking pot wasn't obvious to your girlfriend and others.

but as far as smelling worse after quitting...didn't think we'd smell any worse than being a pothead?

how about keeping some rubbing alcohol

    Just quite after 6 years

    Hi guys,

I have been smoking pot for the last 6ish years and have decided enough is enough, it got to the point where I was being near enough physically sick from the amount I was smoking, I was smoking for

Give your body some time to heal.

Yes pot and alcohol can cause long term slurring.
That's why it's important to quit and give your body time to heal.
I mean at least a year I'd say!

consider the long term effects, took 30 years to get to

Pot Friends are not real friends anyhow!

Seems after a year most folks are done with this site and posting.
You have to assume they've moved on and whatever symptom or issues most likely resolved.?
(or maybe they relapsed and are afraid to come back here?)
The above original post was from a year ago...so i will believe he's moved on and not looking back!

The friends/acquaintances we all had/have as potheads were really just co-dependent 'acquaintances'.

the only way to be around some of the dudes i was around was to be

Longtime 10 pm smoker mixed with 2-3 tall cans slurring issue?

Hey guys newbie here love your forum. Let me say I stopped smoking after almost 30 years after 10 at night a bowl or 2 pretty consistently. This year I had lost 15-20 lbs I may have digestive issues that contributed to my weight going down though after falling back off the ladder (should of been steps going down to get to the basement)
