If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

    marijuana withdrawal symptoms relief
I have been smoking on and off for about 10 years and daily for the last 6.I am trying to give up cold turkey today and am really anxious and scared about how hard it's gonna be.I usually smoke after work (can't perform social activities stoned)or during the day aswell when im not working.I have work today and am dreading not having a smoke when i am finished. The insomnia is the biggest fear and i have two children (4years and 8 months)and am worried about any withdrawls afeecting the way i am with them.Any help or advice would be great.Thanks,Jimma.

    good luck dude

i smoked wen my children wer the age that urs are-i smoked too much-it was easy then-my children didnt know wat i was at cause they wer too young-'we love the smell of ur fa'gs daddy' was wat they used to say-i ended up smokin 20 joints a day and screwing my head up big time-

i wanted to give that brief bit of background about me for a reason-time has now moved on and my oldest son is now a teenager-keep smokin and ur children will know exactly wat ur doing and u will see their questions in their eyes-and its not a good feeling wen u can see the disappointment in the eyes of ur children-

stoppin pot is tough-its a tough month-but it can be done-u just need the right kind of encouragement-u'll get lots of good support and info here on the forum-i know i did-know wat ur doing-stick to ur ressolve-and u'll get thro it-in a way its only a month or so-i know it aint only a month for some-but the way i see it u have to endure that drying out bit in order to enjoy being free of it-

i'm 8 weeks and 3 days without it-the worst is passed-time will march u thro it if u decide wat needs to be done and stick to ur plan-some days are tough-hug ur children and know inside ur brain ur doin it for u and for them-i smoked 20 joints a day and was messed up-i was able to stop-it was hard some days-but the depression it gave me made it easier to stop-that might sound strange but smokin had sucked all the good out of me and i was done-i wouldnt go back to smoking now if it was free-life's better without it-for me and everyone around me-life can be one fu'cker sometimes-but living (passing time) in the dark with no joy or future was a million times worse-

good luck dude-i hope u work it out-keep us posted how it goes-the end of the road is wer to focus wen ur stoppin and see past the sh'it u might be standing in-it wont be there forever-

      Jimma,

It's like waiting for the storm. Day 1 is not nearly as bad as Day 4. It's going be rough.
      Also, you won't eat too.

I'm hoping you don't have a job that involves important decisions. I do, and I screwed something at work on Day 2.

Yes, you will be uptight. Tell you wife to keep the kids away from you with minimal interaction. You don 't want to take out your withdrawls on your poor innocent kids.

Do this. Take Thursday and Friday off from work. Take the wife and kids somewhere nice like a small vacation. Did I say Orlando? Don't take your weed. Go through the withdraws somewhere away from your home, it won't be as bad By the time you get back home from vacation, hopefully, you're over the hump, later.

        Day 2

Well i finished work at 11pm last night. For the first time i didn't really look forward to finishing a shift.I'm a taxi operator so i'm normally quite highly strung at work so when i finish, having a joint has always been the perfect way to relax and put all those thoughts well out of the way and make me ready for bed.I took a couple of Nytol as soon as i got in to try and make me at least somewhat ready to sleep.I ended up watching a film with my partner adn then checked my e-mail,facebook etc. Then had a bag of crisps and went to bed.I think i got to sleep at about 1:30 or 2am but more past out form the Nytol than anything i think.Woke up at 4:45 for about an hour after having a really weird dream and pretty sweaty (yeah i know sorry to gross you all out).
Woke up again at 9 but felt really groggy.Day 2 now which in terms of what i am doing during the day and evening is pretty much the same as yesterday but just an hour later at work tonight.
My girlfriend has been supportive to me which i think is going to be a big help and also thanks to you guys aswell, its good to be able to talk about this without feeling shameful or like im talking to people who are relying on textbooks rather than experience to offer advice. Will be off work on thursdya and friday luckily so that should help.
Cheers guys and will be posting again tommorow to let you all know how things are going.
