If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

    marijuana withdrawal symptoms relief
Hi everyone, I've just joined CannabisRehab.org having made the decision to stop smoking the drug and my anxiety at the thought of it is steadily rising. I've been an on and off casual user since I was in my teens, with a couple of long periods of abstinence. For the past two to three years my use has steadily increased to smoking every day, and weekends and days off work being spent mainly stoned. It's only recently I've been able to connect a lot of my moods, anxiety and insomnia to cannabis use and I really want to stop. I also want to stop smoking cigarettes but I'm not sure if doing both together will be setting myself up to fail. Any help, advice, suggestions or support would be sooo welcomexx

Hi Sandra welcome to the forum.

It’s perfectly natural to feel anxiety over quitting marijuana, I was pretty scared I just could not manage life without it, but it all now seems a like long time ago (it’s been about 4 years now) and I did learn to readjust and build a new life for myself and although it wasn’t easy, life now without it is much better than it was. Like I say it can take some time, although the difference in time that it takes can vary significantly from person to person, some find they are enjoying getting on with their lives in weeks others it can take months, but no matter how long it takes most find that they do get there in the end. The main thing I think is too try to figure out what you are going to replace all that time you spent getting stoned with, for some this is easy and more or less takes care of its self, they find that living their life again quickly takes over and more than keeps them occupied and for filled, for others it can really be a struggle to find something to replace that time with, I suppose it probably depends on what else you have in your life that will occupy and for fill you, if there isn’t much like there wasn’t in my life at the time you need to find that stuff, it’s going to be a crucial part of your recovery, this may mean making some big changes and much effort to make it happen, but it will pay off, most people do find that they can rebuild a more active, for filling and meaningful life without been on drugs.

If you want some more tips on how to detox check out this thread, I started it so people could post all the strategies and tips that will help your rehabilitation as quickly and as easily as possible.

Anyway take care, thanks for sharing, I hope we can join you on your journey it may or may not be easy but I am sure it will be worth it in the end. Please keep us posted on how it goes.
