If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

    marijuana withdrawal symptoms relief
Hi there all, i have just found CannabisRehab.org and have been reading over some of the posts and would like to make my own.

I started smoking mj around about 2 years ago, when i first tried it in my 2nd year of University, it started out as just the one joint that first night, which was an amazing experience, like nothing i had experienced before, so of course it led me to do it more often, over the first year it was still pretty slow, mostly because we had no way of attaining it easily, and also were probably quite naive about the whole issue.

This has now turned into this year, where i have now failed the second part of my course, partly due to starting to work (as i was not enjoying my study), but also due to mj. It has now got to the point where i am smoking it on a very regular basis, multiple times a day. This is made very easy due to the fact i work from home, and also my flat mates also smoke as i do.

Now when i first realised this may be a problem was 3 days ago when i returned home, i had smoked constantly up until i came home assuming "Oh i won't be able to get high, so i best do it now", this for a start is obviously a problem lol - The second which i have realised after reading a few posts in these forums was that i actually brought some back home 'just incase' i needed it, now for me, as i realise now is just terrible, it should have never got to this point.

But the main reason was some weird side affects which i was experiencing, mostly a very upset stomach, originally i thought it was just from drinking the night before, but now that i look into it i see that it can be a common side affect.

Basically i am not sure what to do here, is it best just to try and go cold turkey from here after not smoking for 3 days (as i do feel pretty terrible, mostly my body, mentally at the moment i am ok, but know once i go back i will want to smoke again, even if just to ease my stomach or is it best for me to try and ween myself of it by smoking less and less each day (As i am sure most people say, i really would like to be able to continue to smoke casually at some stage, but maybe this is not even possible after how much i have smoked in the last half a year or so)

Thanks all (Good to be able to just put it out there) - Wish you all well on your attempts

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It sounds like it is a good idea to quit, I am sure it will help with your studies. It’s hard to say which method is better when it comes to cold turkey or gradually tapering off, different people can find they have different levels of success with either method, if you can stick to gradually tapering off then you will hit the ground with less of a thud, that goes for quitting any drug, but some people find that hard to stick to and that for them it’s either cold turkey or nothing, so I guess it comes down to you as an individual and perhaps how much self discipline you will have if you are to taper off.

Thanks for sharing your story, take care and please let us know what you decide.

      Becoming a problem (cont)

      Hi,

Well i am home for another couple of days, so will just try to ride it out i guess, then if i feel i can keep that up easily enough i may try to just go cold turkey, otherwise i guess tapering is the best for me to try.

I definitely want to give this up because it will affect me more and more especially in the sporting arena.

Anything i can do to help my stomach aches?

      Thanks for all the help.
