If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

    marijuana withdrawal symptoms relief
    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say hi, CannabisRehab.org is amazing and that the real life stories on CannabisRehab.org have helped me stay positive and sober during the past 2 weeks. I am not going to post my entire story here because it is very similar to the other addicts' stories that I have read on here. Instead here is a quick summary. I started smoking the drug and tobacco at age 16 and by age 31 I am severely addicted, smoking an 1/8 (3.5g) of kind buds and a pack of cigs every 2 days. That is a $750/month the drug habit and a $100/month tobacco habit. I am currently single & unemployed so I decided to stop living with my functional alcoholic brother and I temporarily moved back in with my parents. I decided on 12/21 to kick both habits for good. For me, the real nasty detox symptoms (sleeplessness, anxiety, lack of appetite, depersonalization) lasted for about 10 days and I can say that today, day 14, I feel so much better. I crave a sober life and I crave to know what my life's purpose is. I understand that I can only realize my Destiny if I take care of the body, mind, and spirit that our Creator gave each and every one of us.

What i have done to help me get the most out of this cannabis rehab site is to create a separate word/notepad document with powerful and life changing quotes from all the different posts on this forum.

May peace be with all of you. Blessings of light and love!:

Nice work noconw78! We have very very similar stories.... started when I was 15, now 33, and 13 days sober! I think you are right the first 10 were the worst, doing much better now.

Hi noconw78 and welcome to the forum.

It sounds like you really have decided to make some big changes for the new decade, I think it will be a good decision. I am glad to hear you are feeling a bit better the first two weeks can be the hardest. I am glad that the other posts are giving you strength, you are not alone and it’s not just all in your head, there are many others who have experienced the same, we are all with you. I love your idea of making a file of all the quotes you find helpful, is there any chance you could post it? That might be really helpful to others.

Take care, thanks for posting and please keep us posted on how it goes.

        Reasons Not To Smoke Weed

        Hi Everyone,

I am posting my notepad document that I have created using quotes from CannabisRehab.org as well as other quotes from online sources. Hope this helps put things in perspective about how dangerous marijuana addiction is and how most of us long for sobriety.

"I want to live life to the fullest and I will never be able to do that if I’m always high."

"It is time for me to make a real change at this point in my life. I tried to detox unsuccessfully a few times but I know it's gonna be different this time. I'm in it to win it.. my self back, that is. What more could I ask for "

"I think its like the mirror of forgetfulness in harry potter, you can spend your life staring into it , you wont be unhappy but you wont be living either, basically its not enough for me. I say there is more to life than 1 plant, there's a whole world out there."

"This is the decision that you make when you stop smoking, to try to find meaningful ways to challenge yourself and succeed at those challenges. It can be boring, frustrating and pointless at first, but in the long run I believe the benefits of genuine achievements will be preferable to the blissful minimalist lifestyle of stonerism."

"I think that the good things about quitting the drug is at the moment too far at least for me to really appreciate , but i have quit for a month in the past and i could tell you that inspiration from life is what comes when you wake up in the morning, not that need to use drugs or alcohol to make you feel alive and right with yourself. You feel free and lets not take our internal freedom lightly. This is really living and not worrying about , oh I'm an addict or why do i do this? or is this gonna be my life? forget all that stuff, I'm starting to get off this drug myself and it isn't easy but if you stick to the plan, life is definitely around the corner."

"I think addictions are prisons that we build ourselves. That is why only us that can free ourselves."

"To savor life's' ups and downs in reality mode!"

"Looking back on certain situations and decisions I made that could have had monumental impact on my life, and I either ignored them or was too stoned to stand up and face them. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can never get that stuff back, all those years I let the drug define who I was, what kind of man I was and so limited myself and my life."

"Marijuana tells you that you are a better person for having smoked marijuana. Marijuana tells you that you are more creative when you smoke marijuana. Marijuana tells you that it helps you concentrate. What marijuana doesn't tell you is that you feel more creative because you have lost the ability to judge your work from the vantage point of someone who isn't stoned. It doesn't tell you that it replaced your critical thinking skills with the naive wonder of a six year old. It doesn't tell you that your present vague awareness of your surroundings is not the same thing as being relaxed and at peace. And most importantly, it doesn't tell you that when you become an habitual user its effects persist even when you are not longer stoned."

"The similarities of former marijuana smokers' testimonials should tell you something. After two weeks it was like a haze was removed from my life. I felt like I had finally woken up. I couldn't believe how much more alive I felt after a month away from it."

"Any drug that takes two to four weeks of non-usage before you even realize what a mess you were is seriously evil. Drugs that deceive are not to be trusted. If a drug's entire purpose is not to have fun, but rather to make the user believe that the drug itself is harmless and has little real effect, then what point is there in taking that drug?"

            marijuana withdrawal symptoms relief
            Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to write a quick update and let you all know that I am approaching day 27 of sobriety and I feel more alive and happier than I can ever remember. I can say that my detox symptoms are almost non-existent and I look forward to continued sobriety. I recently went through some job interviews for a professional position and I thought very clearly during them. Now it is time for me to start finding some sober friends and getting involved in more activities. Quitting is very achievable as long as you are 100% committed, I also believe in a higher power so that helps me a lot. Keep up the good work everyone. Unity & Love prevails all.
