If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

    marijuana withdrawal symptoms relief
Mr. A is a strong charismatic guy with a full prosperous life ahead of him. He is studying business and is hopefully going to uni in September. However, his main downfall is that he cannot stop smoking the marijuana; thankfully over the last year he has seriously cut down and he no longer feels anxious or paranoid but the smoking still continues on. What would be the best way to help him quite completely?

    Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Well Mr A could cut down even further until he eventually quit that way, or he could just stop completely from here on, how much of a detox he would experience may depend on how much he is still smoking. Either method has its own pros and cons, I would advise Mr A to check out our how to detox smoking marijuana post for more tips and advice.

Take care, thanks for posting and please keep us posted on how Mr A is doing.

this is what is working for me (so far)

      1. delete all your dealers numbers.
      2. go cold turkey
      3. stop hanging around with people on weed

this isn't easy but literally with each day that goes by it is getting better

        Please Help me stop!!!

        Btw thankyou for your comments.

From Mr. A's point of view it varys tremendously. One week he will do it twice then another week he will do it five times then he will go a week, and the cycle happens all over again. This needs to stop. The dramatic cut down has meant that family life has improved, now he just needs to improve at work (otherwise no uni for him!).

Plus his friends are like this to. Problem is that they have been his best mates since he was 4. cant cut them out.

        thanks - Mr. A

my mates are life long mates as well, you can still see them i suppose but make sure you meet them in a place where they cant smoke weed... just say meet them at the cinema etc..

if they are real friends then they should understand

            Hi,

Tell your friends u quit.. Ask them not to smoke around you for awhile.
If they don't, then you can consider dropping them.
Do things with them where they can't smoke anyway...

I'm sure your true friends love you and will support you....

Keeping busy with friends helps alot....

I am in a similar situation in that my smoking wasn't causing any real issues in my life - outside of the health issues and the fact my wife wanted me to at least curb my use.

I am now on day 13 of quitting and haven't looked back. Won't say it has been easy, the first week was tough. and I still would love to go home tonight and have one and sit back. BUt I keep thinking how this will make my life better and how it already has. I have more energy, am getting better sleep and not rushing my child to bed at night so I can have a toke.

Has Mr A considered a treatment center? Not sure how he would feel about it. But I went to Klean Treatment Center. They deal with all sorts of addictions. They gave me a lot of great tools to help me stop using. Check them out online. Just google "Klean Treatment Center"
