Is this spam or is this real advice??

It’s just spam, spammers are increasingly using more and more devious tactics these days, the user has been banned. Sorry about that, we do try and keep on top of it and have numerous measures in place, but every now and again the odd bit does get through.

Yeah be careful people, another tactic they are using is to use a username that leads people to believe the message is from the site admin, anything officially from us will be from either my username or the administrator user name, anything else is just bogus, to help prevent this I have banned people from using words like admin, forum, site, owner, team, mod, ect, in their usernames.

There is something else I will do, I will set the private messaging system so that people can only use it if they have made more than five posts, this should help prevent people joining just to spam private messages.
