If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

Hello, I have been a pot smoker every day, several times a day for 24 years now. I grew up in a household that both parents smoked and my only sister smoked before I started. It wasn't something I wanted to do as a teenager, but it was all around me. I remember my mother and sister smoking together and feeling left out. As a teenager I was driven to succeed in life which made me seem to be an uptight teen to others. Since I was not very popular as a teen, smoking made me more relaxed and I guess more fun to be around. But what started off as looking for social acceptance soon turned to a way of life and soon I was no longer driven to succeed.

I really wish that CannabisRehab.org had been around when I was a teen-so when I felt like I didn't fit in, I would have had someone to talk to about it. I would just like to get back to the strong, driven person I used to be, but it has been so long now I'm not sure who that person is any more. In my long 24 years of smoking I can honestly say that pot smoking has cost me so much. I no longer have anything to do with my family (or at least not in the last 2-3 years now) which I am certain is because of our pot smoking lifestyle.

I would just like to say thank you to the people who post on CannabisRehab.org for sharing their experiences because it helps so much. It has shown me that this pot smoking lifestyle is not an acceptable lifestyle and that it is ok to feel that way-because I now know that there are many people out there that also feel the same way.

Thank you and good luck to all!

Hi 24yearslater and even though I have probably said it already in our previous communications, welcome to the forum.

Wow it’s sounds like you were bound to end up smoking the drug sooner or later, it really was all around you. I too lost my motivation and became a shell of who I was. The pot smoking lifestyle was no longer acceptable at least for me, it did me far more harm than good. Thanks for your lovely email it’s very motivating to get feedback like that. Anyway well done on your decision to quit, I am sure you can do it, there will be ups and will be downs but we will be with you every step of the way.

Take care, thanks for sharing and please keep us posted.

      Good Job!

Good Job on choosing the healthier life style. It was probbly hard with the drug being all around you, but you did it. You should be very proud of yourself. It isn't easy. Good Job and I am glad to see you make the choice you did. Good work.
