If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

    Hi Guys,

I'm back with bad news and want to ask for advice.

I relapsed at 62th day. Then i handled not to smoke 8 days and after second joint, i started to smoke non-stop. I was seeing someone from detox department and when i relapsed and started to smoke non-stop, we immediately decided to have a treatment in the clinic.

I was planning to stay in the clinic for 4 weeks but now they insist on giving the treatment for 6 weeks. I want to go out after 4 weeks because still there is a PhD project going on and i want to be back at the university not so late. If i stay longer, i will start to be obsessed about the things i should do when i go back, and now i feel like i will never fall back. Because if i do, i will really start to loose things that i definitely do not want do (my PhD, even my marriage may be), and that makes me think like i will not relapse this time.

However, on the other hand, i relapsed many times before and may be it's really best to stay here longer to get as better as i can.

They also say that, if you smoked more than 1500 joints in your lifetime, it takes 6 weeks for the drug to go out from your body (and that's their motivation to keep me here for 6 weeks). However, i was clean for 2 months and then i smoked for just 10 days before coming to clinics. So, do you think it will still take 6 weeks to get clean from weed?

They all say here that before you go out, you should learn to deal with things in real life but i feel like 'I have to learn it outside, not here, so it's not really beneficial to stay here longer'

I'm really very confused at the moment about what to do and will really appreciate some advice.

    Greetings,

    Hi abiogenesis

Sorry to hear you have relapsed. That’s a tough one, I have to admit I am not entirely sure what you should do as I don’t have any experience in the professional cannabis rehab clinic field, it is true that the drug takes a long time to get out your system and it can take a fair while to get out of the initial high risk period when you are most likely to relapse, if they say that from experience it is best to keep you in for six weeks, then they are probably right, if you can stay for the full recommended length then it is probably better to do so, as important as your phd project may be, it probably is not as important as getting yourself right in this area, I suppose it all depends on how much of an extra risk you feel it would be, which is something you don’t really know at this stage, but if it was me if possible I would probably air on the side of caution and take the advice of the professionals.

Anyway either way it has to be your call, there’s no point being there for any length of time unless you truly want to be.

Take care and please let us know what you decide.

      Hi Blogger,

thank you very much for your reply as you are always doing it with great intimacy. i was out for two days in the last weekend and i saw that i'm detoxed enough to handle the cravings in the near future. and for the long term, i feel like it will be better to be outside in my natural environment. so, i decided to leave at the end of the 4th week.

last time i was clean for two months and i want to make benefit of this experience. i should be much more patience for the recovery; because since four years, all the diversities in the life converged to a single point consisting of psychedelic drugs and it will not be of course be that easy to be totally free again.

one thing i should be very very carefull is the 1st joint. i will be safe as long as i don't smoke the 1st joint but if i do; there is no way but relapsing totally, in my case.

this time, i will try to give more update about my situation by which, i hope, i might have a better control on myself.

      greetings,
