I need to focus on something that really helped me.
I am a business student, and I decided to detox because im almost graduated and need to begin a normal life and i cant do that if im constantly stoned.
What has held me back is that EVERY TIME i wanted to smoke i found a reason too. It came to the point where if i had a bad day at work id smoke a sesh to make myself feel better. If i had a good day at work id smoke a sesh to celebrate a good day. Its a vicious cycle.
I read a book called "The millionaire Mind". Sounds alot like a crummy self help book on how to get rich, which is partially is, however it points out one key aspect of a person to make them successful. The MAIN KEY that will help you fight any obstacle, is SELF CONTROL.
Yesterday i flushed the 1.5g i had left, and looked in a mirror and told myself that i was never going to smoke again. Every year i look forward to april 20th so i can let loose and get blasted with thousands of people, but this year i decided that if i want to be successful in life, i will need to be committed to self control, and therefore on 420 this year i will NOT touch the stuff. 420 is next week, and i have a major exam which will effect my immediate future on 420. So from now until then i am studying.
Put it this way. If i am able to detox for a week. Take the hardest exam of my life which ends at 2pm April 20th. If i can take that exam and not go out and get baked at the big 420 party, then i have proven to myself that i have self control and able to choose my own path in life.
