Hi folks
Ok so many of us here often due to the nature of our situation experience depression, anxiety and negative emotions and while certain elements of this may be a result of what’s psychically happening in our bodies perhaps because of the use of or detox from drugs, or various other factors involved, the importance of making an effort to pursue the right mental state of mind is still extremely important. You may have heard me say that I have found that much of the Buddhist type philosophy has helped me a great deal, more than any 6 session coarse my health service has been able to provide, so with this in mind I thought I would share some videos by a Buddhist monk that I have found particularly helpful. Now try not to be too put off by the fact he is a monk in robes, I am not trying to convert anyone to Buddhism, it’s the philosophy that is important not the dogma, doctrine or mysticism that may be associated with it, you can still benefit from this philosophy and significantly improve your mental health and state of mind and still be a Christian, Muslim, atheist or whatever else it is that you want to be, to me it’s much more about philosophy than religion. Anyway take a look and see what you think, whatever our backgrounds I am sure we can all learn something from them.
Please feel free to add any videos or material that you think may also be of help.
Take care
