If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

  • Day 1 without marijuana

    marijuana withdrawal symptoms relief
    Hi everyone,

I've been smoking marijuana on a daily basis for about 6 years. Ive always intended to detox at some point except have never made the commitment until yesterday. I feel slightly daunted by what's ahead of me - I know it is going to be tough as I have been heavily dependent on smoking since I was a teenager.

I thought I'd share my story with CannabisRehab.org because it should help put things into perspective when i am feeling most down and vulnerable to relapsing. I found CannabisRehab.org when I made the decision to detox last night and found that reading about others in similar positions to me gave me more confidence about getting off the stuff.

Anyway, day 1 clean has passed and I'm feeling reasonably good. I haven't had any actual withdrawals although I do feel on edge and jittery. I felt like caving in a few times today until I convinced myself otherwise. I can tell this is going to be tough and will take every bit of my will power (which isn't my strongest attribute), I just hope it gets progressively easier as the days/ weeks pass.

Anyway thanks for reading , let you know how I'm going later.

    Hi Neale,

It gets easier as the days/weeks pass but not necessarily progressively. THC gets out of your body 4-6 weeks and until that time your brain will be chemically imbalanced which means that you might have physcological fluctuations. Keep up your motivation and see the withdrawels as your brain trying to catch up with its natural hormones. And don't be tempted if you experience a relapse, it's really a part of the adventure of the recovery. Keep up your work and good luck..

      Hi Neale and welcome.

Six years is a fair amount of time to have smoked for although it could be worse, now sounds like a great time to detox and stop what is a significant amount of time turning into a life time habit. I am pleased to hear you are not feeling it to bad so far, you never know you may not find it that bad not everybody does, although it is still very early days, some find that it takes a little while for it to kick in, but hopefully you will be one of the people who don’t find it too bad. Just make sure to look after yourself and take it one day at a time.

Take care, thanks for posting and please keep us posted on how it goes.

All the best and good luck!
