If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

    Hi welcome to the forum.

I will happily be your cyber buddy to help you quit. I know the need to smoke the drug all too well, I was self medicating in order to cope with my ocd. Not only did I feel the need to take it for that reason, but after a while I genuinely got hooked on the drug it’s self. So I had to fight the urge to take it from both sides. Getting off it was difficult I am not going to say it wasn’t, but I got to the stage where it really was doing me far more harm than good, it was fuelling my anxiety, which was really bad for my OCD and what started out as a help ended up fuelling my illness. I finally quit by gradually reducing the amount I smoked over a couple of months, for tips on how to detox I suggest you check out our how to detox smoking marijuana post.

I was wondering are the stresses that make you feel the need to smoke weed, things that you can do something about? Or are they unavoidable and just something you are going to have to learn to cope with?

    Guest started a topic Help!!!!!

I have been smoking pot for over 35 yrs. I have blown too many great opportunities because of my addiction. I consider myself to be a pot-a-holic. I could use a cyber friend who understands the grasp the drug can have on the mind, especially these days with the types of the drug that I do believe is being manipulated to make the crop more addictive. I wake up everyday saying "thats it! I quit" but by days end I find myself making excuses so I can justify my getting high. I believe my addiction is based on life stress excuses as well as a physical yearn for weed. Any insight from a "former" real smoker ( not a scientific poll) I believe can be helpful in relating and also give a sense of " if this guy could quit ...I should be able to detox as well" thanks for any advise, B
