If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

    marijuana withdrawal symptoms relief
hi all, i have smoked cannabis now for 7 years. i was growing the strongerst strains of cannabis for the last year so and because i had green all around me it didn't have any value as i had not bought it from someone else. this led to me smoking an ounce a week (£160 worth). I got to the point where i felt i couldn't get stoned no matter how much i smoked, so enough is enough. i want my confidence and my life back insted of being a shell of a man. i am onto day 2 now and i know it's going to be a rough ride. I hope by just talking bout the will to stop with like minded people on CannabisRehab.org will help me though. Any help with beating the cravings will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Gary welcome to the forum.

I know just what you mean, after a while tolerance really takes hold. On the whole I think the best way to deal with the cravings is probably excercise, but check out our how to detox smoking marijuana post, as you may find that has some helpful advice.

It may not be easy but it will be worth it and we will be here for you whenever you need us.

Take care and keep us posted on how it goes.

You wont feel like yourself for a few weeks, you can feel a bit down and anxious. Dont be tempted back to cannabis during this period, once your out the other side youll look back on your detox as a positive reason never to go back to it. In fact youll look back in the near future and wonder why you felt you had to smoke it all the time

The first two weeks was the hardest for me... Now it’s been two months and I don’t even miss it that much anymore...

It is really easy to get through huge amounts when you grow it. I have friends who grow and they smoke like troopers. I found that hot baths helped me beat the cravings.

It's been 3 weeks for me on Sunday and the cravings have been pretty bad. I do sleep a little better now than I did when I first quit, but I still don't feel completely rested even after 8-9 hours of sleep.

I enjoy hot baths, my only problem is we have a garden size tub and our water heater doesn't seem to like to fill it up all the way with hot water. I get about halfway full, if that.....and then it just ****es me off lol

Getting there though. I wish it was 3 months instead of weeks. Good luck Gary....this site has been VERY helpful for me as I'm sure you will find it helpful for you

Hi I am on my 7th day now of not smoking and yes its hard but boy do I feel proud of myself right now..I have had ups and downs and been angry etc but try and tell yourself that you are doing it for the best...I had been smoking for 17 years (since15) and spending about £500 per month on it..I,ve had to give up my job so that I do not have money for it and moved back in with my parents for a while but it that seems to be working..I do not think like "I will never smoke one again" as I panic, but take it one day at a time..avoid people who smoke it still for a while or ask them not to do it around you (if they can not do that they are not true friends or either have a problem themselves)...It helps that I still smoke fags so don't crave nicotine just the weed..we all have our own ways of giving up, you just need to find yours..I,d lost my spark for life and I know what you mean about being a shell-walking human with no personality and I was smoking about 15 - 20 a day and not one person said they ever thought I was stoned so really whats the point?? I had to put about £20 worth in 4 j's to get to sleep and smoke them one after the other...Also I,ve found that I can now breath properly ...but I have had some very strange dreams and can't sleep untill about 2ish but I was like that anyway..Also I went to a cannabis rehab and they are helping me with councelling etc...Try it..Best of luck and I am pround of us for trying.

                    Miss B x

Hi Miss B welcome to the forum.

I have been reading all your posts, thanks for your contribution I am sure people will find it very helpful. It sounds like smoking marijuana has had quite an effect on your life, it did on mine too, the problem was the longer I did it the more negative that effect became. Which by the sound of it you have experienced too. Please keep us posted on how you are doing and anytime you want to get something off your chest we are here to listen.

Take care and they very best of luck.
