If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

That’s it I have had enough of this druggy lifestyle and want my old life back. I have got rid of my bong and deleted all my dealers numbers. Here goes nothing, wish me luck.

Hi Terry welcome to the forum.

That’s good advice, one day at a time is the best way to take it. I know what you mean, you do get sick of the drug lifestyle, after a while it does become a bit repetitive and it’s real easy for life to pass you by when you’re stoned all the time.

Any time you want to get something off your chest we are here to listen.

Take care and keep us posted on how it goes.

Tell me about it, the last few years have just flew by and I don’t think I have achieved a thing.

I am feeling the detox and don’t feel too good. But I am determined to stay strong.

Still clean, but feeling really sweaty and crabby. Would kill for a spliff, but won’t give in.

Still clean and sober, my mood is now much better and my lungs feel a heck of allot better too. I have started running again which is something I have not done in years and with every day that passes I can feel I am getting fitter. Thanks for the comments of support.

I want my old life back too. I would love to know where it has gone. For years now it’s just been a blur. “The drugs don’t work they just make it worse”.

                        Terry

Way to go, hopefully all this time later you are sticking with it and enjoying life. I quit 1/25/09, two weeks after you. I had been stoned for 22 years. Withdrawals sucked but the hardest part was catching myself up emotionally, if you know what I mean. Even today I think about taking a rip but I know my life is so much better without it and I don't ever want to give up that quit date, the day my life began to change.
