If you feel a post is inappropriate

Hi folks,

Just a quick note in regards to the moderation of the group. Sometimes if I am a bit short on time or if we get a lot of posts at once I may have to just skim the overall gist of the posts rather than reading them word for word before I approve them, also we all have a different perspective as to what is acceptable and thus there may sometimes be the odd post that gets through that you may feel is inappropriate. And while this doesn’t seem to happen very often if there is anything that anybody reads and feels is inappropriate then please feel free to either shoot me a PM or use the contact form to let me know and I will always be happy to take another look at it.

Please keep in mind however that a post does have to be quite bad or harmful to the group as a whole for us to delete it, I don’t like to be too heavy handed with that kind of moderation and try to reserve it for only when it is absolutely necessarily as generally I like people to be able to have their say and most things can be ironed out with dialogue and often we can all learn from it, that said if you feel something is inappropriate like I say please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to take another look.

All the best,

  • Almost 2 months- anti anxiety meds?

    marijuana withdrawal symptoms relief
    Hello all.
It has been almost two months since I quit weed cold turkey. I smoked every night for about 2 years. I have been living through debilitating anxiety everyday since I've quit and have been seeing many doctors who have prescribed me to take an anti anxiety med called busiprone (buspar).
Have any of you resorted to anti anxiety meds? Please comment below if they've helped during your withdrawals.
    Thank you!

    Killer anxiety

Hey, hope you're doing better! I mean I'll say it again. I don't think taking anxiety medication is the way to go. That seems to be the consensus around here. It's not good to replace one thing with another, AND now you'll have to get off of those meds. They may even say that the withdrawal from them isn't that big of a deal... But take a step back for a second... Aren't you having a tough time withdrawaling from something currently (weed) that "isnt a big deal". Isn't it safe to assume that part of it is because our bodies are super sensitive to substances that change your brain chemistry...? Just my two cents

When I quit I had anxiety, depression, and most of all, insomnia. My anxiety was not as bad as many people on here. The insomnia and depression were worse. I toyed with the idea over the course of a year and a half of asking my doctor for meds to help. I actually did take Trazodone for a bit to help sleep (and depression) but just didn't feel great about taking it.

I am happy that I resisted taking meds. It might take a while for you to feel all better, but it will get better. I improved gradually. Try things to help your anxiety such as breathing excercises, physical excercising, etc.

Hope this helps. I hope you feel better soon. One day at a time.

      John
