Default Im dizzy all the time after quitting Smoking weed.

I quit smoking the drug about 6 weeks ago, and have had serious dizzy spells, heart racing etc. I feel strange pressure in my eyes. ITs wierd, I actually feel high at times, like those highs that arent good, when your too effed up. Its almost like that point in an acid trip when you've had enough, and begin bartering with God for a moment of sobriety. Is there something wrong with me? I expected ths at first, but its been a few months now, and it just isnt getting any better. Has anyone out there experienced this? what did you do to deal. How long does it last?
    Thanks !!

Hi unregistered guest and welcome to the forum.

As I was just saying in addicted2thc’s thread withdrawing can produce all kind of weird symptoms which can be different for everyone and really can be a very trippy experience, not in the good way either and some people do find that it can last months rather than weeks, most of what you are describing does sound to me like it is probably connected to stopping marijuana, perhaps all of it is, like I say there are all kind of weird symptoms that different people can experience, although I am not sure if I can remember anybody else complaining of dizziness and pressure in the eyes, I am not a doctor and I can’t say what that might be assuming it’s not just another withdrawal symptom that some people experience, but I would get it checked out by a doctor, incidentally I have heard that drug use can in some cases mask other problems that when the person stops taking them they then become aware of, one of marijuana’s medicinal uses is for Glaucoma http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaucoma which the pressure in the eye may be a symptom of, from what I have heard if it goes untreated I think it can cost you your vision so I would definitely get it checked out by a doctor. I am not trying to alarm you it may just be another one of the bizarre marijuana withdrawal symptoms, but I think it is better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks for posting, take care and please keep us posted.

    All the best

    Default Dont worry

I wasn't even smoking that much like 3-4 times a week but I have been doing it regularly for 4-5 years now. Two weeks ago I have had a pretty wild Cinco de Mayo where I was drinking and smoking a lot for 2 days straight. After that, I decided that its time to take a little break from weed. So the next day I didnt smoke but had the usual "weed hangover" from smoking a lot the day before. When I got to day 3 without smoking, some scary shit happened. I was sitting at my computer at work and all of the sudden got super dizzy/high for like 20 seconds. The feeling was so weird that my initial thought was that someone put LSD in my tea or some shit. After 20 seconds it went away but I still had a constant feeling of dizzyness. If i had to describe the feeling, I constantly feel like I smoked weed like 2hrs ago and im still a little bit high. It wouldnt be a bad feeling in gerneral, but not knowing what is going on and why is this happening to me freaked me out. I got so much anxiety from it and even started having panic attacks in my sleep. I though my brain is ****ed and ill be like this forever. However, Its been 11 days since then and even though I get dizzy spells here and there, I feel that it is slowly going away. That makes me feel much better and much less anxious. From what I've been reading online it can take weeks or even few months for it to completely go away, but my main point here is that you should not worry and it will all go back to normal sooner or later. I really wish someone told me that at the time, that's why I decided to do my first forum post ever in hopes that I can comfort some of you guys. Hang in there! you are not going crazy! everything will go back to normal!

Few things that I did that might have helped me was:

For assistance with finding a reputable and accredited Marijuana Rehab Service Provider in the USA you can call the US Government’s FREE SAMHSA’s National Helpline on:

    1-800-662-HELP (4357)

    - taking fish oil Omega 3 pills as they say it may help your brains to recover from thc
    - forcing myself to work out. even though i felt a bit dizzy, sleepy and fatigued, I forced myself to break some sweat to make the detox process faster
    - distract yourself from thinking about it! Do what you like, play video games, go out with friends or girlfriend
    - make sure to get enough sleep(at least 8 hours) which can give your brain the needed rest from all that stress that you may be going through
    - Avoid alcohol!! I made this mistake by drinking a bit and thinking that it may calm me down, but gave me the biggest anxiety attack instead in the middle of the night
    - Obviously stay off weed, at least for the time being until you get completely normal again

Hope you all feel better soon!!
