Question Phlegm Specks - How Long for yours to clear up

    I've done some searching here,
some seem lucky = only 3 weeks for clear phlegm

others = took a year for clear spittle
i'm talking about the stuff you can cough up (Sputum) ..from the depths

still surprises me after workout or hard work in the heat to see the black/grey flecks.....Day 40 for me.
can't wait to see it clear again but am prepared for it to last maybe a year.......

For assistance with finding a reputable and accredited Marijuana Rehab Service Provider in the USA you can call the US Government’s FREE SAMHSA’s National Helpline on:

    1-800-662-HELP (4357)

thought i'd start a post just for that to be tracked...maybe others will chime in

    FYI, wiki entry...copied
Phlegm /ˈflɛm/ is a liquid secreted by the mucous membranes of mammals.
Its definition is limited to the mucus produced by the respiratory system, excluding that from the nasal passages, and particularly that which is expelled by coughing (sputum).
Phlegm is in essence a water-based gel consisting of glycoproteins, immunoglobulins, lipids and other substances.

Default Still speckled phlegm almost six months quit

Still seeing grey/black specks nearly six months quit.
Really a bit disheartening, can't wait for phlegm to clear up.

I've heard it can take a year.........

    Hey Desert Newt,
How are you feeling apart from the black specks?
Good to hear that you have some evidence that it can take a year.
Please consider going and getting it checked out with your doctor? If you see any red flecks or blood, I would definitely say this. I don't mean to alarm you, but I have heard that blood can present as 'black' in some cases, particularly from the gastrointestinal tract (not sure about lungs).
You are likely right not to be worried, but you could always check it out to be sure.
Do you have a good GP (doctor), that you trust, where you are?

Clearly consult a doctor, this is not normal!
